Roller Coaster

Today was a roller coaster. I loved sleeping in. Then I woke up to find out that half my family was afraid I was really mad at them about something that wasn't bothering me at all. Then I had a lousy time preparing for men's group, only to have one of the best men's groups ever. Tonight, I read something that disappointed me to a level I haven't experienced yet this year. But then something that normally would have made me super angry made me thankful. Don't you love my vagueness?

Matt, that's why it's better to pretend that one feels no emotion at all, ever.

I suggest you don't confide in anyone else about this, you may get the following responses:

Stoicism = living a holy life. I guess you didn't get the memmo.

Realize that now that you've had an emotional rollar coaster day that you may not, afterall, have the personality for Christian Leadership... God doesn't want those with wishy-washy faith, he needs those with fortitude and stone-wall strength. You should really test your heart about whether or not you are indeed "called" into ministry now. Will you do that for me? Perhaps in a few days we could get together and talk about it? [See, people don't want to follow an emotional leader...]

Oh, since your inner world was not perfectly flatlined in peace I guess you realize that you've lost your reputation of sanctification. That means that repect will be hard to be re-gained...You have a long road ahead of you.

We will all start praying for your recovery back into the Spirit this very moment.

If you ever want to talk, brother, I'm here [said in patronizing--you are my pet project--tones with a pat on the shoulder].

Is it okay if I share this with the Dean/D.S. about this, so that he can be in prayer, too?

This [fickleness] is a matter of very grave concern to us, the board.

[I'm being sarcastic and kidding for those readers who don't know. Sorry to hear about your crazy day Matt]

Sadly, it's proven fact: Full Moon brings out the insane, bizarre, and unexplainable.

Us hospital workers (and Police, firemen & EMTs as well) literally shutter when its a full moon. Work loads double!
