Top 10 Space/Alien Shows

Below is a list of space and/or alien shows that I have seen enough of to have formed an opinion about. Soon I will be counting down my top 10 list, but before I do that I wanted it to be clear what I've seen and what I haven't seen:

3rd Rock from the Sun

ALF

Battlestar Galactica (Original)

Battlestar Galactica (New)

Earth 2

Farscape

Futurama

Jetsons

Roswell

Star Trek (Original)

Star Trek (The Next Generation)

Star Trek (Deep Space Nine)

Star Trek (Voyager)

Star Trek (Enterprise)

Stargate SG-1

Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Universe

X-Files

So am I missing any great space/alien shows?

From most important to least:

Dr. Who! one of the classics of sci fi.

Red Dwarf - a british comedy set on a spaceship in the far future. absolutely hilarious.

Earth: Final Conflict was great. neat storylines and interesting character development, I thought.

The Outer Limits - usually had aliens as the baddie of the week. neat takes on human perception, and our place in the universe (but, then again, that is pretty much all sci fi)

Smallville - superman's an alien. his baddies tend to be alien. not sure where the line between alien and superhero is though.

Andromeda (mentioned only because it existed, and had kevin sorbo. Hercules in space!)

Lexx had some really interesting stories.. but had a bit more sexuality / nudity going on than your standard american sci fi.

Anonymous list is great but where is Firefly? Other suggestions would be:

Babylon 5

Captrica -a prequel to the new Battlestar

Torchwood -the Dr. Who spinoff which has darker storylines and few happy endings

Outcasts -its a new series

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -never saw it but it has the girl who played River in Firefly.

There were two Star Wars cartoons in the 80s The Ewoks and the Droids. If you want to go back in time there are also Mork & Mindy, Lost in Space, and My Favorite Martian. And not so great shows Defying Gravity (Grey's Anatomy in space) and First Wave.

Thanks for these suggestions. I'm having a hard time deciding how to put shows in a category/genre to make my top 10 list. But once I do make the list, I'll watch some of these and see if they can climb the chart

Oh, "Earth2". You were so good when you were on. Now you are such a ball of cheeze. But thank you, Matthew, for bringing that to mind :)

I echo Liz's chastisement of missing "Firefly".

The BBC's Hitchhiker's Guide. Does that count?

Yes, while I am quite late, I was coming to suggest Firefly. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's wonderful :)
