Office Party 3

My men's group has some deconstruction to do tonight, but I'm hoping I make to Katie's in time to watch tonight's episode of 'The Office.' I think it'll be funnier than last week. I'll be sure to add some quotes later on (thanks to Jessica B for doing this so well). I'll leave you with 1 question to spur on comments. If you had to go to lunch with 1 character (not the actor, the character) from the office, besides Jim or Pam, who would it be and why?

I would go to lunch with Toby. I wouldn't want to go with someone that might draw a lot of attention to us. Toby is very reserved and laid back. And yet he'd still have some funny stories to tell

My answer is on my blog and explanation.

Hm....well since you ruled out Jim/Pam (I WOULD have said Jim) I would have to say Michael. He is hilarious, in a gigantically stupid way-although I wonder if he would draw too much attention to someone who prefers NOT to be noticed (!?). I would spend the entire time laughing over his facial expressions. If he did nothing but sit there, observe, and make his usual expressions it would be a real treat. So rich a treat that I'd prolly be forced to skip dessert (which is RARE for me!) I think Justin would agree.

We are in the midst of a widespread, yet mini, building plan. It entails the following

1. Extending our paved parking lot
2. Connecting our 3rd building to our 2nd building with a hallway
3. Adding on a new kitchen
4. Buying 3 24ft portable walls for our fellowship hall to designate a children's ministry area
5. Remodeling our 3rd building's foyer
6. New gym floor and basketball hoop
7. Siding the 3rd building
8. Re-foofing the 3rd building

I think that's about it for major stuff. 4 & 8 are already done. 1, 2 & 3 are in process. 5, 7 & 8 will get started later in the Fall I suppose.

Tonight, we will be 'deconstructing a current Sunday School room which will enlarge the size of our fellowship hall and clear access to the new kitchen door.

:) you're welcome.

wow, what a question. I would have chosen J or P. But now I think I would choose Phyllis. She is really sweet and I'd love to hear about her romance with Bob Vance Vance Refrigeration.

Yeah, I didn't get to watch the episode until quite late at night. Our 'deconstruction' took quite a while (mostly the cleanup part). So I saw the last 15 minutes of the show and didn't get to watch the whole thing till later.

I thought it was a very good episode. Definitely funnier than last week and probably the best so far this season. I did like the opening scene. I really liked that the 'pranks' were back in gear. Andy's phone-song near the end was pretty hilarious. Michael not realizing the party was in a chat-room was funny.

They are doing a pretty good job of not letting the fact that Jim & Pam are together ruin the show (as many other shows have been ruined like that).

I think one of the things that made this episode better / more funny than previous ones was that it seemed less concerned with ongoing plots / relationships and more just plain funny. The phone song WAS great. And actually pretty impressive wooing from such a dumb guy.

I liked this episode a lot more than last week. Definitely one of the better ones. Glad to see the pranks are back..and surprisingly, I have grown to appreciate Andy:

"Who am I? (You tell me). Not sure. Just became self-aware. So much to figure out. I think I am programmed to be your enemy. I think it is my job to destroy you when it comes to selling paper." (DunMiff/sys;DS)

"It appears that the website has become alive. This happens to computers and robots sometimes. Am I scared of a stupid computer? Please, the computer should be scared of me. I have been salesman of the month for 13 out of the last 12 months. You heard me right. I did so well last February that corporate gave me 2 plaques in lieu of a pay raise." (DS)

"Here's a suggestion, computer. I assume you read binary, so why don't you 0111111011011." (DS)
--"While you were typing that I searched every database in existence and learned every fact about everything. And mastered the violin. And sold more paper." (DunMiff/sys)

"You know what this is like? I'll tell you what this is like. This is like when the freshman would throw a party and wouldn't let any of the seniors go." (MS)

No Creed. I hated this episode. (except for the kidnap plot, the pranks, the party, Andy's song and Dwight beating the computer.) Oh yeah and spoiler alert.
