MOST

We've started a home group for ages 18-30 which I'm pretty excited about. We had 7 people attend the first get-together with a handful more wanting to come next time. We'll meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesday to chat, eat, hang-out & hear something from the Word. In our 1st meeting we watched the short-film "Most" and I decided to give the group the same name. Why? Because this group is going to focus on "becoming less like the most, getting the most out of life, and responding to the One who most loves us." Plus, M.O.S.T. is a good reminder to Meet On Second Tuesday.

But my reason for posting this is because I'm curious as to who else is currently leading or participating in a group for 20somethings? How is it going? What has worked well? What hasn't worked at all? Feel free to give me a general overview :)

watching The Office together.

haha, that's a good one. I wonder how many of them watch the office. I recently, on accident, made a seinfeld joke during 'announcements' and half the congregation laughed, which was telling.

Also of note, I watched some episodes of the BBC version of the office, which is also funny, but not quite as great.

Actually I find the BBc version greater. It is darker and even more awkward than the American version. Both are excellent (although the BBc version my be a little crude)

Our group has faded into a duo but it might be picking back up again. The book included in the kit is kind of dry so I think that we have to try to mix it up to keep peoples attention. Might even put in some blanks.

haha, yeah, blanks are very effective. I don't tend to work well with pre-made dvd's & books. I find it easier, actually, to make my own stuff.

We're actually doing the Daniel Beth Moore Bible Study right now. i really like it. We have a mixed group and the guys are ok with being called ladies and princesses. I've never done one of these before but after going through this one i would gladly do another.

We attend a small group that actually has gotten so big that we really should split- but just can't bring ourselves to do it. It's still growing to. We have just stared doing Life Together by Bonhoffer- before that it was the group of James. I feel like you don't need to plan as much for a young adult Bible group because people our age can usually go pretty deep without much proding. Good luck

PS- love the name
