Tim Cook

UPDATE!!! TIM HAS POSTED!!!
One year ago, Tim Cook posted on his blog. It was his 3rd post. Was it his final post? I am giving him 30 hours (till the end of August 30th) to post again. If he does not post, he will be deleted from my link list (and therefore cease to exist in my mind).

So who knows what Tim is up to? Last time I talked to him, he was planning on getting married this past Saturday. Did anyone go? Has anyone talked to him in the past month or so? Can anyone get his attention before the clock strikes midnight?

Also, feel free to take this opportunity to tell a story about Tim!

I'll start

Tim was one of my favorite friends at Bethany. Great guy. Almost always smiling. Very good sense of humor. Well rounded.

Tim came to my room a lot (especially once he lived off campus) during the day. We'd sit and make jokes or listen to the Bible Answer Man show. He'd have me down to his apartment too to hang out.

I wish Tim was more of an online guy, but i know why he's not. He's a people person. He likes real life. Miss ya Tim. Hope you are doing well!

hmm. Tim was a person who was comfortable with himself. I found that he was easy to talk to; you didn't have to "be cool" or "wesleyan-politically correct" around Tim, you could "just be." Very neat.

Also, he and I spent much of our conversations glofifying the virtues of small town community life, and telling tales about how great small towns can be.

This sort of sounds like something you'd say in a funeral--it's all past tense! wow. So, do stay alive Tim, happy marriage if you are married now, and live your life well. :)

p.s. long live Digby!

Heather Durkee may or may not be the one person on earth with a connection to all other people, dead or alive. Way to bring Tim back to the present, Heather!

tim cook: loved that guy. i remember once that we were playing air hockey and the puck came off the table and hit tim. he then threw his paddle at me. i said, "what gives?" he said, "you did that on purpose." i was totally flabbergasted! who would ever hit tim cook on purpose?!?! we worked it out and were friends ever since. we did this thing where we wouldn't give each other high fives, but a combo of a high five-high fist.

tim cook, we salute you!

Tim told me one time he would go to creation with me and Rob McDowell. He lied and now apparently in 30 hours he will be dead. That seems about right for what he did to me.

sorry to say, Kirk, but Tim has avoided certain death and posted an update on his past year!

This, by the way, makes me feel incredibly powerful

the thing I loved about being around Tim was the fact that he was a great hugger.
