Again

I wrote this song almost exactly 6 years after I wrote the poem "smiles"

The timing was wrong
The feeling was right
Now it’s been so long
Can this tunnel have light
At the end of the way

I took a wrong turn
I made a mistake
If there’s one thing I learned
It’s that I can not shake
This desire to say

If there is a chance
I want to take it
If the dream is alive
I want to make it
Come true for me and you
Again

It’s true to a tee
It works every time
If you’re around me
I can’t stop my mind
From wanting just you

It may be too late
For you things have changed
But I’m wondering if fate
Could still re-arrange
And make this dream come true
