The Sabres will be without star defensemen Jay McKee tonight for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Why? He has a 'freak infection' in his leg. What in the world is going on? The Sabres have lost 4 of their top 5 defensemen! Henrik Tallinder- Broken arm. Dmitri Kalinin- Broken anke. Teppo Numminen- Injured hip. Now McKee! (not to mention our best playmaker, Tim Connolly, is out with a concussion).
If the Sabres win this game, it will be a
MIRACLE

i'm a bad loser...but i must say...i think buffalo was clearly the best team in the nhl playoffs this year. if it wasn't for the injuries, they would not have been stopped. even without 5 of their best players, they had the lead in the 3rd period of game 7.
The truth is they were outmatched by a team that was simply better. carolina was better than them all season winning 3 of 4 games and they were better in the playoffs winning 4 of 7. (they did it all without their heart and soul Eric Cole and with their back up rookie goaltender) So if the Buffalo players just weren't committed to getting themselves in shape and therefore made them more injury prone that doesn't make them better. It makes them a bunch of uncommitted wimps.
ban the habs and their fans is banned from future commenting because of his lack of truthfulness. Deep down, he knows buffalo would have stampeded over carolina if they had any 2 of connolly, mckee, tallinder, kalinin and numminen.
BTW I'm just trying out this cocky thing. i may or may not believe what I put in my last post.
okay, you may or may not be banned :)
But I admit, I am a poor loser. I really liked this Sabres squad a lot.
