#2 Sports Illustrated tricked Mets fans into believing that their team had signed a new pitcher who could throw 168 mph fastballs
#4 Taco Bell angered patriots by claiming they had purchased the liberty bell and were renaming it the Taco Liberty Bell
#14 An Alaskan man started a tire fire to convince residents a local volcano was on the verge of erupting
#24 PC Computing Magazine said congress was passing a law to stop drunks from using the information super highway
