Growing up, I had a favorite baseball player: Jeff Bagwell of the Astros. My brother also had a favorite player: Frank Thomas of the White Sox. Coincidentally, it turned out they had the same exact DOB (5/27/68).Fortunately for my brother and I, both players have had excellent careers. Unfortunately, we never got to see them play against each other. Fortunately, they have yet to retire and their teams are about to face each other in the world series. Unfortunately, both of them are injured. Thomas won't play at all. Bagwell might play a little.
Sometimes things just don't work out.
