I've been thinking about drinking.
I am 23 years old. I have yet to find...the perfect beverage. Part of my failure to find the dream drink is probably the result of my failure to try new things often. But my quest continues at a slow and steady pace.
Right now I'm drinking Swiss Miss: Chocolate English Toffee. I like it. I like a lot of drinks. It just feels like some super special drink is always missing from the menu.
Currently I drink very little soda/pop. I can't drink milk w/o having something with it. I get sick of those sport drinks really quickly. And real juice is pretty expensive. The only beverages I really love are chocolate Milk from Houghton College and apple Cider in the fall.
Can anyone think of a drink I may not have tried that could quench my thirst? Maybe you could lead me to the liquid I long for! What's your favorite beverage?

Well, Water is always a good choice!! I think Welch juices are good.... like the Hawaian pineapple or the Mountain Mixed Berry. If you want a really good drink.. go to the Olive Garden and get the Sicilian Splash... if you like a lil bit or orange flavor it is good!!
Yeah, water is one of my favorites
hey :)
I'll say...cold
I like Calpis. But you'd have to go to Japan to find it. Sorry.
Thanks Robin....very helpful
Note to Katie- Matthew might be too cheap to go to Olive Garden. I too, suggested water. I think Matthew needs to just enjoy the banquet God has provided and stop trying to lock into ONE beverage. Variety is the spice of life. Right?
Does anyone know of a program that blocks only mom's from commenting?
haha, i like your mom's comments. she's so knowledgeable and down to earth. It is a shame none of that wore off
(Sorry, I had to catch up from all that encouraging the other day. *Shudder* that was a tough day! hehe )
Sarah
hey! i'm.....down to earth (at least give me that one)
Favorite drink? That's easy. If we are talking about soda it's all about Coke, nice and cold, sometimes with a little lime added. Non-soda: peach lemonade by Nantucket Nectars... it's the best stuff on earth.
Jess.....not TOO sweet
I hate coffee and don't like alcohol
Alison....I dislike dark soda/pop
Lemonade is good
I like chocolate, but not by itself...like, I wouldn't eat a chocolate bar if it was JUST chocolate.
I like caramel, but not sure I'd like it in drink format
Passionfruit...hmm...maybe this is a dumb question, but what is that? Are passionfruits like obscure tropical fruits? Maybe I've never had them. Maybe I had them and didn't realize it. Maybe they're what I'm longing for.
Passionfruit tazo tea with lemonade....that's what I ask for? I'll try to remember that, but I get real nervous when ordering.
one of my personal favorites for a hot drink is a chai latte. if you are not familiar with it, chai is a black tea that has been spiced with various spices such as ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, star anise, etc... mmmmm...yummy.
starbucks also has it in a cold format with their menu of creme drinks... as in a chai creme or something like that. it's kindof like a chai milkshake. or they also have just iced chai - more liquid, less cream.
starbucks, however, uses a liquid concentrate for their chai rather than an actual brewing of the tea. it is still tasty nonetheless.
Lots of Starbucks fans it seems. I've never been there.
I've never been a lot of places.....I am not one to try new things often.
A-treat Birch Beer. Nectar of the gods. Only available in Pennsylvania but woth the effort.
Shirley Temples are the best!
I realize I'm almost two years late with this, but I'll vouch for AJ's comment...white birch beer is my favorite in the soda category. I pretty much despise all other sodas. I also enjoy french vanilla frappaccinos...a Starbucks product. :)
Considering it's been two years since the post, have you found your favorite yet?
Hey Jessica :) No problem being late b/c i get emailed with all comments anyways.
I really do love Upstate Farms Chocolate Milk. It definitely has to be Upstate Farms though. I'd have to say that is my favorite.
I knew this...oh brother. :) I must've had a mental lapse.
I agree, for some reason the milk at houghton is great. Especially the chocolate version. I can understand not having a favorite thing, especially things that come up in conversation a lot, like a favorite sport. For watching, football. To play? It depends. Volleyball or basketball. But that's offtopic, my signature cold drink is probably Arnold Palmer. I know that's overused, but I love it. I also love english breakfast tea, sweetened. My big problem is that when I'm with a group of people at Tim Hortons, and they ask what I want to drink, I'm really not a coffee guy, but all the drinks at Tim Hortons are coffee based, basically, so in this siduation I end up getting tea which is usually ridicoussly hot, which I can't stand. So I basiccally end up chilling with people who are periodically sipping their drink to end their take in a conversation in a non akward way, while I'm stuck stretching of blowing on the tea, which isn't as cool as sipping your Ice capp. Boy, this comment is long.
