This is what I don't like about american politics - the smear campains. Yeah, Canada isn't always civil about things either, but at least we (usually) keep the focus on the issues. Honestly, I couldn't produce my birth certificate either -
that doesn't mean I wasn't born here.

This video isn't a smear campaign. For one, it's not something being done by republicans, but democrats. For two, it's not just words, it's an actual legal case. For three, it's not just an accusation, there is contradicting evidences. For four, it's a major issue since it's an issue of our very constitution.

Of course, I have no idea if the case has enough evidence to win. But what a huge story it would be just before or just after the election. It's in the courts right now, but there's no telling when the case will be decided.

Why in the world would a candidate feel compelled to produce documents in a crap-shoot legal case?

All this stuff has been hashed over previously. I don't think anyone would have wanted to reveal such a smoking gun more than Hillary Clinton.

Prediction: Obama wins and no one hears from this guy again. (Not saying this is a good thing, just my prediction.)

I hate it when Aaron is right.

For once I was thinking the same thing as Aaron; he's usually much smarter than that. :) I haven't heard about any follow-up, have you?

steph i am with matt, this isn't a smear campaign. it is just some questions. it is interestin but i don't know that anything will come of it because if these acusations are right they will just be ignored.

and just because you don't have your actual birth-certificate you can always get a new on from the hospital you were born in. there are also other documents that require birth place.

it will be interesting to see if any thing ever does come out of this case. probably not because obama is the messiah or something and the media is very protective of his image.

I couldn't care less about whether or not our president was born on US soil or not. I do care a lot about the honesty of someone who would lie to try to get around a law, even if it is a stupid one.

I don't think it's legitimate- McCain would be all over it if it had any traction, and he's kept his mouth shut. I think that says more to me than anything else.

Gloria, this might be one of the funniest and saddest things I have ever read. Hilarious in the thought, terrible in the truth.
