Epistle of Barnabas

Below are the most interesting quotes I found in the letter known as the Epistle of Barnabas
Do not continue to pile up your sins while claiming that your covenant is irrevocably yours because in fact those people lost it completely in the following way...by turning to idols they lost it He revealed himself to be God's Son. For if he had not come in the flesh, men could in no way have been saved by looking at him. For when they look at merely the sun they are not able to gaze at its rays What, therefore, does 'into the good land, a land flowing with milk and honey' mean? Blessed is our Lord, brothers, who endowed us with wisdom and understanding of his secrets. For the prophet speaks a parable concerning the Lord...we are the one's whom He brought into the good land There are twelve of them (Apostles) as a witness to the tribes, because there are twelve tribes of Israel Moses...spoke in a spiritual sense, but because of their fleshly desires the people accepted them as though they referred to actual food In six thousand years everything will be brought to an end...and after I have set everything at rest (in the millennium?), I will create the beginning of an eight day, which is the beginning of another world.
